The Northwest Herald

Just eight days after arriving in Chicago, I found myself covering a high school football game for a paper in the Northwest suburbs.

I ended up spending the next three years covering local sports for the Northwest Herald, first as a freelancer and eventually as part of the small staff. I covered a bit of everything, but in particular I spent time as the lead reporter on soccer, swimming, wrestling, and lacrosse.
